Time travel to the future

  Where would you like to go? Why?

 What time in the future?

 Would you like to stay there? Why/Why not?

This is a difficult question, since we don´t know how much climate change will affect some parts of the world and I would be concerned to get to a place where drought and desert are the common condition. Probably to avoid this problem I would travel to the south of Chile, and it could be in about 50 or 100 years, since although the effects of climate change also affect that place, the conditions could continue to be favorable for a common and normal life as a human. So with a little reassurance you could see how much the world has changed and how quickly technology evolved. Although it would be fun to travel I couldn't be there long, I would´t know the consequences that this would have in the line of time jaja, and I couldn't be with my familiars since maybe most of them would have spent their entire lives without me. It would be a very big shock to realize that people I know may not even be in this world, either because they literally left the world or because they died ... yes ... that would be sad. Perhaps my way of seeing the future is somewhat sad, because we have a rather disconcerting future according to what we see every day, but I know that as we move forward to unite as we do with COP26 I would even venture to go to other parts of the world with travel time.

    Hi, I think that we normally think a lot about what kind of bad thinks can happen to us or the world in the future, so in my opinion staying in the present is the best option XD. Regards and thx for sharing.

    The world have to change. Is something natural but we helped spped up these changes to something worse than we imagined

Why did i choose this career?

      When I was a child I wanted to be an artist, but with the pass of time I understood that I see this more like a hobby than something to dedicate my entirely life. As a teenager I understood that I want something related with environment and nature, so i wanna be a veterinarian, but when I told this to a real veterinarian (that was on my neighbourhood) she told me that in this profession the things are no so pretty , the money is not enough and you need to decide when is necessary to kill an animal..so that change my preference. After that, I see all the  universities  career related and worried about environment like geology, marine biology and forest engineery. And my final decision was geology! just kidding was forest  engineery LOL, because its have all that I wanted and everybody gives me wonders opinion about this career :D. Now my experience has been most of the time positive! as all the careers have difficult topic...

Who is the person/expert on my field that I admire?

I admire Suzane Simard a lot!  She grew up in Canadian forests as a descendent of loggers becoming a forest ecology. She is a teacher of forest ecology at the University of British Columbia. Suzane has spent the last four decades, with experiments and rigorous studies, understanding how trees talk each other. She has discovered that they are part of a community that supports each other, sharing resources with parents and strangers who are in need. With his work, I change the way I see forest.  I like here since I see his "TED Talk", where she explain the comunication between trees.  I also admire her for all the dedication in her research for years on the communication between trees and other equally interesting related to the forests of California, also that she is a fun and anecdotal person that makes her an inspiring person in the field of science. I recommend 100% her TED talk (for those who have not seen it yet), because there she goes much deeper into her res...

My autobiography

Hello there! Now is coming my presentation, so to start.. my name is Francisca Borcoski, I Am 20 years old, I born and live in Chile and today I am studding forest ingeneering.  About my education, I started in kinder garden called "Jardin cascanueces" and after that I was in 2 different schools and I finish it when I was 18 years old. I took the PTU the same year and the next year , 2019 I started my career university at the university "Universidad de Chile". I live in Santiago with my parents and my little sister, also 2 cats and 1 dog.  My hobbies are very varied, but in short I like paint, drawing, make some crafts with plasticine, porcelain, knit, etc; , also I like to learn how to play musical instrument (now I´m trying with the guitar 😁) and others artistics things. Since my childhood I thought about the importance of the nature and how I would like to study something related to that (the reason why I chose this career). I like a lot of things, some examples...
